SOFTWARE AND MANAGEMENT

3 REQUEST AREAS OF THE SOFTWARE TO MANAGEMENT

These three issues are related to the management systematic. It is not possible to penetrate a ready-made package program to the organization in organizations where a management systematic has not been defined.

The need for information increases as organizations go up in the management hierarchy. Information is information if it meets a need. Otherwise, the results cannot go beyond the reports of events and events. The institution must produce its own knowledge. The information required for the will cannot be imported.

Generally, the institution is forced to adapt to the management systematic that the software provides. BThese organizations have formed their own business conduct and culture. This culture not only penetrated the internal structure but also the sector / market / universe in which it was located. Therefore, the success of a software is possible by analyzing these values correctly and designing or aligning them according to their needs.

One of the misconceptions about software is the belief that a computer program and management tasks can be solved:

  • “Pressing a button to see everything!”,
  • “Manage jobs from anywhere, over the Internet!”,
  • “Control the works even while in home!”.

Many institutions have started software projects with slogan approaches such as “establishment of a structure that things are done so easily and making everyone feel comfortable” and believed that their problems will be solved by getting the most famous software known (or the cheapest). (In a study it is determined that more than %70 of these projects are faiked). However, today’s package software is usually shaped according to the management structure of another organization. Therefore, when the institution receives a package of software, it has to adapt the management system of another institution to its own.

This situation provides automation in the occupational areas in which the national standards such as accounting and stock management are established and there is no difficulty in producing the information to control the organization. However, the management structure of the institution does not resemble any other organization; Because, management includes planning, organizing, coordination and supervision activities for the resolution of the decisions taken by the will. The management level needs information for all these tasks.

The need for information increases as organizations go up in the management hierarchy.

Information is information if it meets a need.

Otherwise, the results cannot go beyond the reports of events and events.

The institution must produce its own knowledge. The information required for the will cannot be imported.

However, management level and willpower must act with fresh knowledge. It is obvious that organizations that cannot produce information in a timely and correct manner will not make accurate decisions and will even harm the institution. Therefore, the software must produce the information needed by all levels of the organization. What is important here is what information needs, how often and in depth they are needed. Again, the software should be able to produce information at all stages, especially at

will. In this process, which is called “reports ”in software literature, hundreds of reports are produced in some organizations. However, these reports are of no use by the will of the institution and the statements of their managers. However, in what periods of each stage, what kind of decisions, what kind of decisions, how to interfere with the operation and operation of the information to be produced, will support these processes will be a response to all reports.

Another important point is the root values of the institution. The institution also develops relationships with the way they do business over time. These values, also called corporate culture, determine how and how the produced information is used. Naturally, when the root values of the institution are analyzed correctly, the form, duration, form of presentation, boundaries, how to communicate with whom, what information should be used by whom, which decisions in which decisions should be the basis of which reports,  which reports often it will be revealed that information should

be transmitted. Another important point is that some of the processes will be finished with the software and some of the processes will be changed while some processes will be included in the process. The world’s experience is that, with the software, the institutions save up to 30% of personnel savings. Because the software accelerates the managerial systematics of the organization, man x month costs are significantly reduced.

In the observations of IRADE made in Turkey, it has reached the conclusion that increasing the number of staff of the organization together with the software. This is because; the addition of software as a prosthetic limb, rather than penetrating the body, requires a separate expertise to operate it. However, the software has to penetrate into the organization such as the neural network and all levels must be included in this system. However, in this case, the software may provide benefits. Class training is not enough. The whole process must be included in the software process.

The software is actually launched as a project. As mentioned above, the software is not a commodity that is used in stock or used as fixtures. Software is an intangible asset that penetrates all related processes of the institution.

For this reason, software projects begin by recognizing the internal and external environments of the institution. It’s not just business analysis. Needs analysis, service area analysis, consumption analysis, human resource analysis, business-process analysis, stock analysis, supply system analysis, supplier analysis, sector analysis should be made. As a result of these analyzes, the dimension / image of the institution in which an institution and the institution acted will emerge. This picture must be studied with the will of the institution, the picture must be explained, the events should be understood and made meaningful. Following this study, the institution will be determined the direction of the will of the institution, and an action plan should be established accordingly. Thus, those representing the will and will will know what organizations they are, where this organization will flow in the future and what kind of decisions they will have to make, and what kind of information to produce for these decisions. This work will create the system architecture of the software. Thus, the root values, basic capabilities and technical competences that make the institution valuable will not be sacrificed to the software but will be strengthened with the software.
